As I'm sure most of you know, Alexander Osterwalder invented the “Business Model Canvas”, the strategic management tool to design, test, build and manage business models. The tool is successfully used by such leading organizations as Coca-Cola, GE, P&G, Mastercard, Ericsson, LEGO and 3M – and is detailed in his first book, international best-seller “Business Model Generation”. It was named among the 12 best business books of all time by USA Today.
More recently, Osterwalder published “Value Proposition Design: How to Create Products and Services Customers Want”, which explains how to gain greater fit between a product and its intended market. Alexander provides a framework for large companies and startups to innovate by rapidly experimenting with new business models and value propositions. He is also co-founder of Strategyzer.
We are extremely excited to have Alexander Osterwalder as our guest. In many way's he's the perfect bridge between the business and the design perspective. So, if you've ever thought about introducing your boss to the field of UX and Service design – now is the time!
